Applied Learning Programme (ALP): Bilingual Voices, Active Citizens

At Evergreen Secondary School, our Applied Learning Programme (ALP) is built around the vision of nurturing Bilingual Voices, Active Citizens. We believe every EVGian has the potential to be a confident communicator and a thoughtful contributor to society.

Through the ALP, students develop strong bilingual communication skills, enabling them to express their ideas with clarity and conviction. They are also guided to think critically and engage meaningfully with real-world issues that matter to their communities and to Singapore. By connecting classroom learning to authentic contexts, the ALP in Evergreen Secondary shapes students into informed and active citizens who are ready to make a positive difference in Singapore and beyond.

应用学习计划（ALP）：双语之声，知性公民

永青中学的应用学习计划（ALP）以“培养双语表达能力强、积极关心社会的公民”为愿景。我们相信，每一位永青学子都能自信沟通并且具备社会责任感。

通过应用学习计划 (ALP)，将课堂学习与真实情境相结合，学生能够锻炼双语沟通能力，清晰自信地表达自己的想法，积极关注社区及新加坡相关的重要议题，进而发展批判性思维，成为知性、积极的公民，为国家与社会作出贡献。

Program Pembelajaran Terapan (ALP): Suara Dwibahasa, Warga Aktif

Di Sekolah Menengah Evergreen, Program Pembelajaran Terapan (ALP) dibina berasaskan visi untuk melahirkan suara dwibahasa dan warga yang aktif. Kami percaya bahawa setiap pelajar Evergreen berpotensi menjadi penutur yang yakin serta penyumbang yang berfikiran matang kepada masyarakat.

Melalui ALP, pelajar mengembangkan kemahiran komunikasi dwibahasa yang kukuh, sekali gus membolehkan mereka menyampaikan idea dengan jelas dan berkeyakinan. Mereka juga dibimbing untuk berfikir secara kritis serta melibatkan diri secara bermakna dalam isu-isu dunia sebenar yang relevan dengan komuniti dan Singapura. Dengan menghubungkan pembelajaran di bilik darjah kepada konteks yang autentik, ALP di Sekolah Menengah Evergreen membentuk pelajar menjadi warga yang berpengetahuan dan aktif, yang bersedia untuk memberi sumbangan positif kepada Singapura dan juga di peringkat global.

Music ALP

Part of the ALP, Evergreen Secondary’s lower secondary Music programme develops students' musicality while deepening their awareness of civic issues. Through the creative process of writing and performing raps, students explore real-world topics, expressing their perspectives confidently in English or their Mother Tongue Languages.
