(A) Introduction

The Direct School Admission - Secondary (DSA-Sec) Exercise, introduced by the Ministry of Education (MOE) in 2004, seeks to promote holistic education through recognising a more diverse range of achievements and talents. All students interested in applying for a place to Evergreen Secondary School via DSA-Sec will need to do so via a centralised DSA-Sec Portal managed by MOE.

1. Application for DSA-Sec 2027 is open from Tuesday 6 May 2026, 11 a.m. to Monday 2 June 2026, 4.30 p.m.

   The application is free-of-charge.

2. Parents and students are encouraged to choose schools wisely based on the student’s aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the schools’ academic and non-academic requirements, and the programmes available to develop the area of talent.

3. Students who are successfully admitted to the school via DSA are expected to honour their commitment to the school and participate in the activities related to the talent area they are selected for from Year 1 to 4/5.

(B) Talent Areas

1. Evergreen Secondary School offers all Primary 6 students an opportunity to gain direct admission through the Direct School Admission (DSA) Exercise, which is tied to our school’s Applied Learning Programme (ALP) and Learning for Life Programme (LLP]. We welcome student applicants who express a deep passion in communications, leadership and/ or sports, even if they are presently not in any related CCA.

2. Our school offers the following DSA talent areas and domains:
   (a) Talent Areas under our Applied Learning Programme (ALP)

   i. Bilingualism
   ii. Digital Media
   iii. Language - Chinese Language
   iv. Language - Malay Language

   (b) Talent Areas under our Learning for Life Programme (LLP)

   i. Leadership (Boys & Girls)
   ii. Badminton (Boys & Girls)
   iii. Cross Country (Boys & Girls)
   iv. Netball (Girls)
   v. Rugby (Boys)
   vi. Table Tennis (Boys & Girls)
   vii. Volleyball (Boys & Girls)

   Students who are successfully admitted into our school via DSA Sports and Digital Media are obliged to join the respective sports CCA, ELDDS or Digital Media Club.

   Students who are successfully admitted into our school via DSA Leadership, Chinese Language, Malay Language and Bilingualism may join any CCA and are encouraged to develop their talents through various stretch programmes.

   Successful applicants will be nurtured through our distinctive programmes and developmental opportunities to further develop their talents and character. They can participate in various competitions and workshops to hone their skills with enriching experiences. They will also have the opportunities to apply for student leadership roles within their CCA and also at wider school level.

(C) Selection Criteria

The selection criteria for the talent areas will be updated from early May 2026.

Meeting all the criteria does not guarantee shortlist or offer.

Applicants who do not have prior experience may also apply. The school will assess applicants based on the selection criteria, which may include assessing the potential of the applicants.

(D) Selection Process

The selection process for various talent areas will be updated from early-May 2026.

You will receive notification from the school by 22 July 2026 if your child has been shortlisted to undergo DSA selection interviews/trials.

Due to the high number of applicants, we will not be informing candidates who have not been shortlisted for interviews and/or trials.

All applicants will receive their application outcomes between 17 and 28 August 2026 via email notification.
