Invitation to Join us at MOE ExCel Fest

Dear parents,

This year's MOE ExCel (Excellence through continuous Enterprise and Learning) Fest will be held on 6 March 2010 at Suntec International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The theme for the event is "Every Child Ready for the World". The event will include seminar talks, sharing sessions and exhibitions showcasing how our schools are preparing our children for the world through innovative teaching and classroom practices.

It is our pleasure to invite you to join us at MOE ExCel Fest 2010. The details of the event are as follows:

President’s Award for Teachers

The President’s Award for Teachers (PAT), gives national recognition to the critical role teachers play in moulding the future of our nation.  These excellent teachers prepare their students for life.  They are models of commitment to continual learning and enterprise.  They are those who, through word and deed, inspire both their students and peers.  The award will be presented by the President of the Republic of Singapore on Teachers’ Day.  At least one primary school teacher and one secondary school/junior college/centralised institute teacher will receive the award. The award was introduced in 1998.

PAT 2010 Nomination

Nomination ends on 24 Feb 2010. Send in your nomination using the PAT 2010 Nomination Form. Instructions for submission is found on the nomination form.

Nominees of the award should be teachers who:

    • Are presently in service in a primary or secondary school, a junior college or a centralised institute
    • Have shown utmost concern for the character and moral development of students by word and personal example
    • Motivate, challenge, inspire and help students to find the potential within themselves
    • Welcome enterprise, innovation, curiosity and creativity in students

Chinese New Year Hamper

Contributing to society is an important value that needs to be nutured in every Evgian. Continuing our good practices in the past years, Evergreen will be carrying out the Hamper Wrapping Event again this Chinese New Year.

On monday 1st of Feb, students are to bring their kind donation of food items to prepare for hamper wrapping on the 8th and 9th of Feb. Suggested food items are as follows:
